Wiaan Mulder has a heated exchange with Babar Azam after throwing the ball at him

Babar Azam looked in promising touch with the bat in Pakistan's second innings during their second Test match against South Africa on Sunday.

Apart from his commendable batting effort in Cape Town on Day 3, Babar was also seen in some heated action as he lost his cool after an unnecessary throw by South African pacer Wiaan Mulder hit him on the foot.

The incident took place on the fourth ball of the 32nd over of Pakistan’s second innings. Babar was batting on 58 runs from 87 balls when he got forward and drove the ball firmly back at the Mulder, who, after collecting the follow-through, threw the ball back at the star batter.

The former Pakistan captain was slightly outside the crease but Mulder's throw was way off target.

After getting hit on the toe, Babar wasn’t happy with Mulder’s act, and the duo then exchanged a few words before the on-field umpires got involved.

Babar also had a little chat with the senior South African batter Aiden Markram.
